Is Tutoring Right For You?
Yes! Almost every student could benefit from tutoring at some point in their education. Could do with extra support? Would they benefit from extra teaching time focused solely on their needs? Or they excel further with additional guidance? Tutoring can help support everyone with their studies.
There are many students who struggle to learn and concentrate in the classroom environment. Some students simply require a little bit of dedicated one to one teaching to help with understanding and applying all they have learnt within the classroom. Some students benefit from dedicated sessions to help build confidence with their academics. Private tutoring caters to everyone, whatever their needs.
Every session is tailored to the individual pupil, using the interests of the pupil alongside the national curriculum to help make learning fun, engaging and relevant.
Flexibility That Fits Around Your Family’s Schedule
As a private tutor, I am able to be flexible with my timetable. Whether you are looking for a home tutor during the daytime, after-school sessions or weekend lessons, I have tutoring slots available for a time that works for you.

Online Tuition
Does online tutoring really work? Yes, absolutely! During 2020, I moved my business to an online only model. The quality of teaching online is no different to face-to-face tuition, and often, I have found it to be more beneficial to the pupils. My pupils have consistently achieved the GCSE grades they have been hoping for, and above. Online platforms allow my pupils to access additional support materials, such as informational videos and online games, as well as our shared whiteboard. Whilst many pupils had a tricky time with attending online classes during the pandemic, these same pupils regularly find that one to one tuition online is a completely different experience. The tuition that I provide has been specifically designed for online platforms and the one to one nature allows it to be tailored towards each pupil’s individual needs in a way that group classes are unable to do.
Pupils will require a device that can connect to the internet, and a steady internet connection. Laptops and desktop computers allow the most technical features to be utilised (but don’t worry about buying a new device – tablets and smartphones still offer great pupil interfaces!)
Aside from a pen and paper (and maybe a calculator for maths) it is not necessary to provide any other equipment for tutoring. However, if possible, I do recommend a drawing/graphics tablet that you can connect to your computer system.
